I was absolutely awestruck while watching this Telugu movie, a rare gem made with pure dedication and passion. On the screen, I didn’t see actors; I witnessed characters portrayed with heartfelt sincerity. Every character was beautifully depicted with the utmost effort from all the actors. My expectations for the cast were high, but each actor went above and beyond, giving their characters 200% justice. This can be directly attributed to director Sukumar’s meticulous direction, raw and realistic set design, exquisite cinematography, and every other department’s dedication. I had been eagerly waiting for Sukumar to showcase his potential in a realistic movie, instead of venturing into overly intellectual films that lack heart and soul. While I know his capabilities, I’m delighted that he chose to work on a script as beautiful as “Rangasthalam” rather than pursuing meaningless intellectual movies that didn’t resonate with me personally. My desire for Sukumar has always been to create exceptional films, and this one certainly lives up to that expectation. When it comes to performances, Ram Charan truly stands out as Chittibabu. His portrayal of this character felt deeply realistic, resembling many individuals we encounter in villages—innocent, pure at heart, and stubborn all at once. Ram Charan’s performance in this movie won my heart, and if this film doesn’t win any major Indian awards this year, one can only hope that award committees acquire some working brains. This is a one-of-a-kind Telugu movie that has graced the screen after a long hiatus. With its captivating storytelling, outstanding performances, and a multitude of emotions, “Rangasthalam” is a must-watch.
