On the positive side, we have: One of Vijay’s most outstanding performances, showcasing his acting prowess. Well-written first half with engaging moments and a gripping tempo. The hyena subplot is executed beautifully. Superb cinematography capturing the scenic Kashmir locales. A solid supporting cast, including Trisha, Gautham Menon, Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Mathew Thomas, and Mansoor Ali Khan. Anirudh’s music, particularly the standout track “Badass Ma.” Creative title card placement. On the not-so-positive side, there are some drawbacks: A lackluster second half with tepid writing and a rushed character introduction. Some instances of tacky CGI, especially in a car chase sequence. The forced connection to the larger cinematic universe (LCU), which feels inorganic and detracts from the film’s standalone potential. While there are innovative set pieces, only the climactic showdown truly stands out. Overall, the film is a 75% Lokesh Kanagaraj and 25% Vijay collaboration, with both positive and negative aspects. It’s an engaging watch with some remarkable elements and room for improvement.
